#JACKIEATS | A Cozy Dinner at GALLI VILLAGE CAFE, Makati City

Dine to unwind from the busy city is this place just right across Sacred Heart Shrine in San Antonio Village in Makati City. Galli Village Cafe offers Spanish-Filipino fusion of food which lets your palate travel along in a budget friendly menu.
Al Fresco area
Galli, was the name came from the owner's surname, Garcia and Villongco. Which both were devotees of Sacred Heart hence, they decided to put up this hole in the wall cafe which has no pretensions just a homey vibe inside a village in the busiest part of the metro.

Adorned by cute paintings, some pictures and memorabilia from where country the owners had been are displayed which just made it feel more homey and interesting.

Resting my palate first to the famous house specialty in a comforting taste of freshly cooked Paella Valenciana (2-3pax P300; 4-5pax P590) and leveled up by their homemade chorizo, fresh shrimps and mussels, rich savory rice toss with lemon which gave contrasting but well balanced flavors which I absolutely enjoy. They suggest that you call for order in advance (number below) at least hours before you dine (or pick-up) because they don't serve pre-cooked one so you won't wait that long.

Other house specialties were:

Chicken al Ajillo (P175) very tasty I needed rice while savoring this.

Shrimp Gambas (P240) joining in with a kick of some spice ans fresh shrimps.

Beef Salpicao (P240) Pocket worth beef tenderloins were used in the making of this yummy thang but I just find it slightly dry though.

Lengua Con Setas(P240), aside from Paella, this is my favorite. Succulent and tender ox tongue along with its creamy sauce makes it even more indulging, ugh, I love it! Simple with elegance I must say and another plate please??

A nice place to also gather family, friends, and loved ones because you can book this place exclusively for parties or other events (get together, reunions, birthday, engagement, etc.) then decorate it (balloons or streamer) yourself. Just one rule, don't move any of the cafe's decors and you're good to go and have fun.

PS. They also had a branch in #154 Maginhawa St., Sikatuna Village, Quezon City that you can check out if you're from north.
